Waterford Crystal Metropolitan Art Deco Stepped Crystal Picture Frame, 8" × 10"
A substantial lead crystal picture frame by Waterford Crystal in the Metropolitan pattern, drawn directly from 1930s Art Deco skyscraper architecture. Built from solid crystal, the frame features crisp stepped corners and parallel ribbed channels running the full height of each side, refracting light along the verticals like a Chrysler Building crown rendered in glass. The black velvet easel back carries the Waterford seahorse and wordmark and pivots on a chain-stayed strut for tabletop display.
The Metropolitan line stands among Waterford's most architectural design statements of the late twentieth century, translating the house's traditional cut-crystal vocabulary into a clean, graphic Deco idiom suited to contemporary interiors. Holds a standard 8" × 10" photograph. Substantial weight and presence on a desk, mantel, or vanity — and a perennially popular gift for weddings and anniversaries.
CONDITION
Very Good. No chips, cracks, or damage to the crystal. Velvet back and hardware are clean and intact.
