Oak Crest Oak Roll-Top Desk with Tambour Cover, Locking Top & Key
A solid oak roll-top desk by Oak Crest, built in the traditional S-curve tambour form with a finished back that allows free-standing placement in the center of a room. The brass escutcheon plate is cast with the Oak Crest maker's mark, and the original key is included — the tambour locks cleanly when drawn down. Behind the roll: a fitted interior with two small filing-card drawers fronted by brass label holders and bail pulls, open cubbies to either side, and a ventilated panel at the back.
The pedestal carries four graduated drawers on full-extension metal slides, with a pull-out keyboard tray above and a small hidden drawer tucked into the upper bank. The knee well is generously sized, and the whole piece breaks down into two sections — upper roll-top hutch and lower desk base — for convenient transportation.
CONDITION
Good overall. Scratches, scuffs, light chipping, and stained spots are present throughout, including a ring stain and small gouges on the writing surface and edge wear along the lower trim. Tambour rolls smoothly, lock and key function, drawers and keyboard tray operate properly on their slides.
