Description

Merle Haggard Vinyl LP Lot of 6 — Okie From Muskogee, Rainbow Stew & Jimmie Rodgers Tribute

Six Merle Haggard albums from a single-owner collection, most acquired during the 1960s and 1970s. The lot spans Haggard's Capitol and MCA years and leans heavily on the live and concept material: Okie From Muskogee (Capitol ST-384, recorded live in Muskogee, Oklahoma), Rainbow Stew — Live at Anaheim Stadium (MCA-5216), Same Train, A Different Time (Capitol SWBB-223, the gatefold two-record Jimmie Rodgers tribute), Close-Up (Capitol SWBB-259, two-record set), Let Me Tell You About A Song (Capitol ST-882), and It's Not Love (But It's Not Bad) (Capitol ST-11127).

The set includes two gatefold releases — Same Train, A Different Time with its Hugh Cherry liner essay on Rodgers' influence, and Close-Up with its star-motif four-side track layout. Jackets range widely in condition: Okie From Muskogee, It's Not Love, and Same Train show heavy surface loss, water staining, and edge wear, with duct-tape repairs to the lower edges of the latter two. Records are playable as shown.

CONDITION

Records playable as shown; single-owner collection, most acquired in the 1960s and 1970s, with no unpleasant odors. Jacket condition varies from Good to Fair across the lot — several covers show significant surface paper loss, water staining, ring wear, and edge splits; Same Train and It's Not Love carry duct-tape repairs along the bottom edge.
