Description

Hank Snow on RCA Victor — Collection of 6 LPs incl. Railroad Man & When Tragedy Struck

Six original Hank Snow LPs spanning the late 1950s through mid-1960s, drawn from a single-owner collection. The group includes two copies of Hank Snow's Country Guitar (RCA Victor LPM-1435, 1957) — the singer's first all-instrumental album — along with The One and Only Hank Snow (RCA Camden CAL-722, 1962), Railroad Man (RCA Victor LPM-2705, 1963, produced by Chet Atkins), When Tragedy Struck (RCA Victor LPM-1861, 1959), and Hank Snow Souvenirs (RCA Victor LPM-2285, 1961, Silver Anniversary set).

The set follows the Nova Scotia-born "Singing Ranger" across the arc of his RCA catalog — Jimmie Rodgers tributes, train songs, songs of sorrow, and country-guitar instrumentals recorded in the Nashville Sound era. Sleeves carry their original design work, jacket notes by Bob Tubert, Roy Horton, Noel Digby, and Ted Daffan, and the period mono pressings retain the "New Orthophonic" and Dynagroove markings.

CONDITION

Records play and are sold as shown. Single-owner collection, most acquired in the 1960s and 1970s; no unpleasant odors. Jackets show age-appropriate wear — ring wear, edge and corner softening, surface scuffing, and retained price stickers on several sleeves. The When Tragedy Struck jacket shows splitting at one seam .
