Description

Collection of 17 Big Band & Easy Listening LPs — Dorsey, Kaempfert, Conniff, Elgart

A single-owner stack of 17 albums spanning big band, swing, and easy-listening titles, most acquired in the 1960s and 1970s. Identifiable spines include Tommy Dorsey ("Tommy Dorsey in Hi-Fi," starring Warren Covington), Bert Kaempfert and His Orchestra ("Three O'Clock in the Morning"), Ray Conniff, Percy Faith ("The Sounds Of"), Larry Elgart and His Manhattan Swing Orchestra ("Hooked on Swing"), Art Mooney ("Dance to a Memory"), and a Hindsight Records HSR-159 reissue, alongside a "Those Wonderful Years" set and additional dance and concert titles. Labels represented include Columbia (CS 8749, CS 8302) and Decca.

The set leans toward the orchestral and nostalgia programming that filled American living rooms across two decades — dance bands, memory-song compilations, and hi-fi showcase pressings. Sleeves show their age, but the records play. Lot contents are best confirmed against the supplemental image; exact title list and label/catalog numbers for all 17 not fully verified.

CONDITION

Good overall and playable as shown. Single-owner collection, most acquired in the 1960s and 1970s; no unpleasant odors. Sleeves exhibit edge wear, splitting, ring wear, and soiling consistent with age and storage.
