The spine image resolves a coherent and purposeful collection: country and country-comedy on one end, a deep shelf of trad jazz, Dixieland, and Roaring '20s revival on the other. The collector had a specific ear — James Taylor and KT Oslin alongside Kid Ory, Turk Murphy, and Bob Scobey; hot jazz and ragtime revival sitting next to golden-age novelty country.
