Alvin "Suffolk" Sterling Silver Teaspoons, Set of 3, Monogram "K"
A matched trio of sterling silver teaspoons in the Suffolk pattern by the Alvin Manufacturing Company of Providence, Rhode Island. The pattern carries a shell finial above a scrolled cartouche on the handle face, closing at a fan-shaped drop where the stem meets the bowl. Each handle is engraved with a script "K" monogram. The reverse shanks are stamped PATENT STERLING, Alvin's standard sterling mark for the period, with the small oval maker's cartouche at the bowl juncture.
Alvin was a leading American silver house from the 1880s until its absorption into Gorham in 1928, and Suffolk is a documented pattern from its late Victorian to Edwardian output, circa 1900–1915. Confirmed solid sterling rather than plate, the set appeals both to flatware completionists chasing a named, searchable pattern and to silver buyers working from weight. All three spoons carry a consistent monogram.
