Wallace Sterling Silver Madonna & Child "Sterling Memories" Christmas Ornament
A sterling silver Christmas ornament from Wallace Silversmiths' "Sterling Memories" line, depicting a haloed Madonna kneeling in adoration of the Christ Child, both figures rendered in high-relief repoussé that catches and throws light across the polished surface. The reverse is struck WALLACE STERLING beneath the maker's mark. A soldered loop at the crown of Mary's halo allows the piece to hang from a tree branch or hook.
Wallace's annual sterling ornaments became fixtures of the American holiday tradition through the late twentieth century, sold boxed as collectible keepsakes meant to accrue year over year. This example retains its original Wallace Silversmiths presentation box, blue Wallace Sterling storage pouch, and the "Sterling Memories" booklet.
CONDITION
Good. The relief is crisp and the figures read clearly. Surface carries light tarnish and fine handling marks throughout — we'll leave the polishing to you.
