A quiet stretch of river winds through a stand of birch and hardwoods in this signed oil on canvas panel by Lilyan Lamberth. The palette-knife handling gives the scene real texture — impasto ridges catch the light across the tree trunks, the grassy banks, and the reflective surface of the water. Warm ochres and greens carry the eye from the shaded foreground into a sunlit clearing beyond, framed by the vertical rhythm of the trunks. Signed lower right, Lilyan Lamberth.
