Leaded Stained Glass Window Panel — Green Diamond & Lattice Design
A leaded stained glass panel built around a central diamond lattice, framed by a wide rectangular border. The composition layers translucent greens — from deep bottle-green to a pale, bubbled spring tone — with three accent diamonds at center: two pale peach panes flanking a single bright orange-red. Small turquoise corner triangles punctuate the inner field, catching light differently than the surrounding glass. Several panes carry visible seed bubbles and swirled striations cast into the glass during manufacture, giving the field depth and movement.
The panel reads cleanly from either orientation and can be mounted vertically or horizontally. Soldered lead came joins all 43 panels, with a sturdy zinc perimeter frame and brass mounting rings fitted at the four corners for hanging. The piece is unmarked. The diamond-on-lattice format is a long-standing motif in American domestic leaded glass, suited to transoms, sidelights, and hung display.
CONDITION
Excellent. No damage noted across all 43 panels; lead lines are intact and the frame is solid. Light surface patina to the zinc and solder consistent with age.
