Henri Studio Cast Stone Leaf Birdbath on Sculpted Tree Trunk Base
A two-piece cast stone birdbath from Henri Studio, comprising a broad leaf-form basin with a raised central rib and vein detailing, resting in the crook of a naturalistic tree-trunk pedestal. The base is textured throughout to mimic bark, rising to a Y-shaped fork that cradles the basin, and terminating in a wide disc foot. The whole is finished in a weathered patina of soft greens and earth tones that reads as convincingly organic.
The underside of the base is molded "Henri Studio" with the model number 1451F. Founded in 1959 near Chicago, Henri Studio has long been known for cast stone garden ornament and fountains produced in hand-finished patinas. The leaf-and-branch motif here places the piece squarely in the naturalistic garden tradition — sculptural enough to hold a corner of the patio, functional as a working birdbath. The basin lifts free of the base for transport.
CONDITION
Good with signs of outdoor use. Surface shows mineral deposits, algae staining, and patina variation consistent with weathering. A hairline stress line runs along the exterior of the basin rim. Separates cleanly into two pieces for transport.
