Steamer Storage Style Trunk with Nickel Hardware
A cube-form storage trunk finished in tobacco-brown embossed vinyl over a wood-and-fiberboard case, wrapped with painted binding strips and studded with dome-head rivets. Nickel-tone steel corners, drawbolt latches, a center hasp plate, and a black grip handle round out the hardware — the trunk-style detailing built for looks as much as function. The interior is lined in dark paper, with a hinged lid and reinforced metal edging.
Built in the vintage steamer-trunk idiom rather than as a period antique, this piece works as an end table, blanket chest, or accent storage in a den or entry. The compact square footprint makes it a practical stand-in for a side table beside a chair or sofa.
