Coiled Basketry Trays, Set of 3 — Star & Diamond Patterns
Set of three flat coiled basketry trays worked in natural fiber with dyed accents, each built from a tight center spiral outward in the bundle-coil technique and finished with a whipped rim. Pattern vocabulary is consistent across the group — eight-point stars, radiating diamonds, and stepped geometric bands — rendered in three distinct colorways: cream and terracotta ground with muted teal-blue coils; bold dark-brown and rust star on a natural field; and a layered concentric composition in brown, rust, and blue-green. Construction and palette are consistent with East African Great Lakes region production. Imported. Unmarked. Sold as a set of three.
CONDITION
Good across all three. No remarkable damage; coiling is tight and rims are intact, with color and fiber consistent with normal handling.
