Amish "Sunrise" Solid Oak Six-Drawer Chest with Dovetail Drawers
An Amish-crafted six-drawer chest in solid red oak with a honey-toned natural finish, configured as two small drawers over four graduated full-width drawers. Traditional casework details carry through: ogee-profile crown molding, bracket feet, recessed raised-panel drawer fronts, and raised-panel sides that finish the piece on all visible faces. Polished brass dome knobs and a high-gloss surface complete the look. The maker label on the back reads "AMISHOUTLET / PO# 31770 / SUNRISE," tying the piece to the Sunrise line distributed through AmishOutlet .
Quality runs deeper than the finish. All six drawers are joined with dovetailed corners and ride on heavy-duty ball-bearing side-mount slides — a functional upgrade over the wooden runners common in older or lower-tier production. Drawer boxes are a lighter secondary hardwood, a standard shop practice that keeps the boxes stable while reserving oak for the show surfaces.
