Mission Oak Console Table with Stepped Bracket Apron, Solid Red Oak
A substantial rectangular console table in solid red oak, built in the Mission Revival idiom with heavier-than-typical stock throughout. The 1" thick top rests on four 3.5" × 3.5" square legs, and the apron carries a distinctive stepped, notched bracket detail at each leg junction — a decorative motif that nods to Prairie School and Pueblo Revival design rather than strict Craftsman orthodoxy. The finish is a medium-warm honey/amber that lets the oak grain read clearly across the top.
Attributed to American production furniture of the late 20th century (1980s–2000s), consistent with domestic makers working in the Arts & Crafts revival vein. The construction sits above entry-level — thick top, generous leg stock, solid oak rather than veneer over composite. The stepped apron brackets give it a friendly profile that suits Mesilla Valley and broader New Mexico interiors, whether staged behind a sofa or as an entry console.
CONDITION
Good and sturdy. Solid throughout with no structural issues; joinery is tight and the piece stands square. Light surface wear consistent with age and use. Please review all photos for condition and details.
