1970s Oak Waterfall-Frame Smoked Glass Coffee Table with Lower Shelf
A 1970s American Modern coffee table built on continuous oak loop legs — the frame bends in a single sweeping waterfall from the top rail down and back under the base, forming open rectangular sides that give the piece its lightness. The inset smoked glass top sits within an oak surround, while a solid oak lower shelf spans the length below for display or storage. Construction is solid wood throughout, unmarked.
The rounded, tubular oak profile and bentwood-style loop base place this squarely in the warm-toned oak furniture wave that defined 1970s living rooms. The bronze-tinted glass and generous 56-inch length make it a functional centerpiece with the kind of low, horizontal proportion the era favored.
CONDITION
Very Good with signs of use. Light scratches to the glass top, not easily visible. Oak frame shows minimal wear with finish intact.
