Teak Two-Piece Bookcase & Cabinet, 1960s–70s
A two-piece modular bookcase and cabinet unit produced by Van Pelt of Belgium during the Scandinavian-influenced export boom of the 1960s–70s. The upper section is an open bookcase with four fully removable and adjustable shelves, framed in teak veneer with bookmatched grain running the back panel. The lower cupboard carries two doors fitted with sculptural turned circular teak pulls — the detail that separates this from the flatter, lower-tier Belgian exports of the era — opening to a single adjustable interior shelf.
CONDITION
Very Good and structurally sturdy throughout. Some staining and discoloration to the teak surfaces, including a small mark to one shelf; no remarkable damage. Doors and shelves function as intended.
