Stones of the World Solitaire Set — Semi-Precious Stone Marbles in Swivel-Top
A complete Cultural Classics peg-solitaire set from Daddy-O Productions, played with polished semi-precious stone spheres rather than pegs. The turned wood board carries the 33-hole solitaire field on its recessed top and pivots on a central swivel to reveal a hidden storage compartment beneath. Each stone marble measures a uniform 20.2 mm, drawn from a range of named materials — snowflake obsidian, dalmatian, turquoise, hematite, black onyx, sodalite, amethyst, rose quartz, green aventurine, and labradorite among them.
The swivel base holds the accompanying custom-illustrated compass-rose playing card deck and the printed Stones of the World history booklet, which identifies each stone type and its origin. The object of the game is the classic peg-solitaire challenge — clear the board down to a single stone in the center hole. As decorative as it is playable, the mixed-mineral spheres read as a small stone-study collection in their own right.
CONDITION
Excellent. New open box; the playing card deck remains factory-sealed. Original documentation included. Stones and case show no wear.
