Wrangler Home Distressed Black Bow-Front Dressing Chest, 10-Drawer
A bow-front dressing chest by Wrangler Home, built in solid wood with a hand-rubbed distressed black finish that breaks to warm reddish undertones along the edges, corners, and drawer lips. The case carries a shaped, gently bowed façade over a stepped configuration of ten drawers: four small drawers flanking two central bow-front drawers up top, above four deeper bow-front drawers below. Two of the upper drawers feature decorative escutcheon keyholes — non-functional by design. Aged pewter-tone knobs and bail pulls, a molded top edge, fluted canted corners, and turned bun feet round out the traditional English-influenced styling.
Drawer construction is dovetailed throughout, with pale poplar-tone secondary wood and the red Wrangler Home maker's plate mounted inside a drawer. A stamped assembly number ("1 5 2") appears on one drawer side. The distressing — rubbed-through edges, simulated wear, and the mock keyholes — is factory-applied character, part of the intended antiqued aesthetic rather than damage.
CONDITION
Very Good. Distressing is by design; edges and corners show intentional rub-through to bare and reddish wood. Slight surface scratches to the top and light scratching to the case overall, with no remarkable damage. All ten drawers are dovetailed and operate as intended.
