Composed of black fossil-bearing marble, this is an attractive Geisonoceras sp. plaque. A mass mortality plate, a cataclysmic event caused the sudden death of a large number of individuals. Geisonoceras was a gregarious colonial creature. Each specimen is polished to reveal the fine detail of the chambers.
