Italian Empire Revival Dining Table from La Permanente Mobili Cantù
An Italian modern Empire revival table made by La Permanente of Cantù. It is crafted from birch and walnut. It has a redish brown and tan marble top.
The base is composed of four giant walnut and gilded hand carved legs and an impressive marble stretcher, attached to the top by contrasting corinthian capitals and decorated with flowers and garlands. The carved legs are joined to the base with flowers and scrolls, in gilt and walnut. The edge of the table is hand carved as a frieze in a neoclassical floral design. An incredible example of the finest mid-century Italian design.
Six elegantly carved walnut chairs are included, custom upholstered, hand carved with nailhead trim.
