This is a vintage Lladro porcelain figurine titled “Nacimiento Grande” (Large Nativity), model number 4585. Designed by Fulgencio García and introduced in 1969, this piece was retired in 1991, making it a sought-after collectible for enthusiasts of Lladro's classic works .
The figurine portrays the Holy Family—Joseph standing protectively over Mary, who cradles the infant Jesus—in a stylized, serene composition. Crafted in Lladro’s signature glossy finish (Brillo), it features soft pastel hues: Joseph in white and brown robes, and Mary in a gentle blue gown. The elongated forms and minimalist detailing reflect Lladro’s mid-20th-century design aesthetics.
Handmade in Valencia, Spain, the piece bears the blue Lladro tulip stamp on the underside, along with other mold and series codes. It comes with the original branded box, which includes the printed label and product identification.
Condition
In very good condition overall, with no chips, cracks, or repairs observed. The glaze retains its original luster. The original box shows signs of wear, including edge fraying, taping, and label abrasion, but remains intact and functional. Please refer to photos for full condition details.
