E.L. DeFord Elkhart Flute – Model 1, Serial D66056, w/ Atco Case
A vintage E.L. DeFord flute, serial number D66056, Model 1 student instrument. Crafted by Emerson DeFord, a renowned flutemaker, began his career at W.T. Armstrong Flute Company and later founded his own line of flutes, emphasizing quality craftsmanship for both student and professional models in Elkhart, Indiana.
The flute features a silver-plated body with closed-hole keys and an offset G. It comes in its original hard-shell case, lined with blue velvet.
Condition:
In good vintage condition, showing signs of use including dents, dings, and scratches. The silver plating exhibits tarnish consistent with age; polishing is left to the buyer's discretion. The case is functional.
