This vintage bar cabinet by American of Martinsville showcases refined craftsmanship and Hollywood Regency charm with strong Chinoiserie influence. Made in the 1960s, it features a dark walnut finish with carved Asian-inspired drawer fronts, original solid brass hardware, and elegant metal casters. The two dovetail-joined drawers sit above paneled cabinet doors, all with ornate brass fittings.
A standout feature is the expandable black laminate top, which pulls out to extend the serving surface from 45.5 inches to an impressive 71.5 inches—ideal for hosting. The cabinet is finished on all sides, making it suitable for freestanding display. Stamped with the maker’s mark inside the drawer.
This piece is both collectible and highly functional, offering mid-century elegance with practical modern versatility.
Condition:
