Chinese Cloisonné Bowl – Scalloped Rim, Floral & Butterfly Motif, 10.5"
A richly enameled Chinese cloisonné bowl featuring a scalloped rim and classic chrysanthemum and butterfly decoration on a deep cobalt blue ground. This piece exemplifies refined cloisonné technique with intricate wirework forming a continuous cloud pattern and detailed blossoms in soft pink, cream, and red hues.
Both the interior and exterior display a full floral and fauna motif, with colorful butterflies adding visual balance. The interior is especially vibrant, while the gilt brass rim and foot offer a refined finish. The underside is enameled in turquoise blue and shows remnants of an old paper label. This bowl pairs stylistically with cloisonné vases of the same period.
Condition:
In very good condition with no dents, chips, or enamel losses. Light toning to the gilt metal rim and minor surface marks consistent with age. Enamels remain bright and intact.
