Sony DVP-CX850D Disc Explorer 200-Disc CD/DVD Mega Changer

The Sony DVP-CX850D is a 200-disc DVD/CD/Video CD mega-changer from Sony's Disc Explorer line, built for whole-collection playback without disc swaps. Front-panel controls include Easy Play, Mega Control, Direct Search/Disc Change, and a jog-style PREV/NEXT selector; a keyboard input port allows disc-title entry for catalog navigation. Dolby Digital, DTS Digital Out, and Digital Cinema Sound decoding are onboard for home-theater integration.

Rear connectivity is generous for the era: 5.1-channel analog output (front, rear, center, woofer), dual line outputs with composite and S-Video, component video output (Y/Pb/Pr), optical and coaxial digital outputs supporting PCM/DTS/Dolby Digital AC-3, S-Link control, and a Mega Control jack for chaining a second changer. An audio input pair rounds out the back panel. The unit tests fully functional. The original remote is absent — note that menu navigation and most setup functions on these changers rely on the remote.

CONDITION

Very Good and fully operational; tested and working with no remarkable damage. The top panel shows light scratching, a diagonal scuff, and a small area of adhesive residue near the front edge. Remote control is absent.
