Global Art Iridescent Art Glass Paperweights, Pair — Feather & Swirl
A pair of hand-blown iridescent art glass paperweights, each carrying the pulled and spotted decoration typical of the studio-style aurene revival. The larger piece is a rounded orb in shifting purple, blue, and green iridescence, wrapped with a band of white pulled-feather spots that trail off into a single hooked tail. The smaller weight is a squat egg form in darker tones — bronze, blue, and silver — with combed metallic striations sweeping across the surface. Both are marked to the base "Global Art / Made in Taiwan" (see reference photos).
The dichroic surface treatment gives both weights the oil-slick shimmer collectors associate with iridescent studio glass, the color reading differently depending on the light. The two-piece lot pairs a display-scale orb with a smaller companion weight, offering contrasting forms and palettes from the same maker.
CONDITION
Good. Both show light surface scuffing consistent with handling and age; the iridescent finish carries minor scattered marks. No chips or cracks noted.
