Reclaimed Barnwood Signs — Albuquerque, Carlsbad, Phoenix & El Paso
Four planks of weathered barnwood, each carrying a freehand brush-lettered city name in white paint with a left-pointing arrow: Albuquerque, Carlsbad, Phoenix, and El Paso. The lettering rides over split grain, old fastener holes, and the silver-gray patina that only comes from years of open-sky exposure — the irregularity of the hand is part of the character. These four cities form a natural axis for anyone living in the Mesilla Valley: north up I-25 to Albuquerque, east on US-285 to Carlsbad, west on I-10 to El Paso, and further west still to Phoenix. Hung together they map a world that Las Cruces sits at the center of.
The appeal here is specific. This isn't generic "rustic farmhouse" décor — these are actual place names that carry weight for anyone who has driven the corridor, made the run to El Paso on a Friday, or watched the Organ Mountains disappear in the rearview on the way to Albuquerque. Suited to a bar back, a restaurant entry, a patio wall, a mudroom, or a vacation rental that wants to feel rooted in the region. Each board is pre-drilled and ready for wall mounting.
CONDITION
Good with age-appropriate wear throughout; rustic by design. All four boards show checking, knots, silver patina, and old fastener holes consistent with reclaimed barnwood. The El Paso board has an area of insect channeling and darkening at the right end; white paint is stable across all four pieces.
