Sterling Silver Three-Light Convertible Candelabrum by Duchin Creation
A convertible sterling silver candelabrum by Duchin Creation, marked STERLING WEIGHTED on the reinforced base and again on the removable arm section. The gadroon-and-beaded rim on the weighted base echoes across the three candle cups, tying the piece together visually. It separates into two parts: the branched three-arm top unscrews from the base, converting from a full candelabrum to a single low candlestick.
Duchin Creation produced weighted sterling tableware through the mid-twentieth century, and this convertible format was a practical favorite for formal tables that needed to shift between grand and understated. The threaded connection is intact and functional, and all three candle cups accept standard tapers.
CONDITION
Good. The sterling surfaces carry heavy tarnish and darkening throughout — we'll leave the polishing to you. Weighted base and threaded arm section both intact; the two parts join securely.
