Neoclassical Marble-Top Round Cocktail Table, Walnut Base with Tapered Legs
A round cocktail table pairing a figured walnut base with a removable beige and cream veined marble top. The apron carries oval veneer reserves around its circumference, and the frame stands on four square tapered legs with recessed detailing and brass sabots at the feet — a restrained Neoclassical vocabulary. The stone rests freely on the wooden ring, lifting away for transport.
The marble surface shows the mottled, cloud-like patterning and natural mineral inclusions typical of a lower-grade decorative stone, giving the top a warm, organic character against the darker wood. Construction is straightforward: a circular banded apron mortised to the four legs, with the polished stone set into the top opening.
CONDITION
Good overall. The marble top is chipped along the edge in places, with minor imperfections around the perimeter and natural inclusions throughout the stone. The walnut base shows age-appropriate wear and finish handling; the top is removable and rests freely on the frame.
