Sentry A3817 Fire-Resistant Home Safe, Electronic Keypad & Key Backup
A Sentry A3817 fire- and impact-resistant home safe with a dual-access electronic keypad and tubular key backup. The steel case carries a black textured finish with a brushed silver control panel; the keypad face includes ERROR, PROCEED, and LOW BATTERY indicator lights alongside the numeric pad and PROG. function. A single throw handle operates the multi-point bolt work — three live locking bolts along the door edge. Tested and fully functional; two keys and the combination are included.
The interior is UL Classified as Record Protection Equipment (Class 350, 2-hour rating) for fire and impact resistance, molded in white with a removable upper drawer, a shelf, and molded side channels for adjustable positioning. The door panel is fitted with a document pocket and hook slots. Maker marked Sentry Group, Rochester, NY, made in U.S.A., with the model designation cast into the front panel and the serial label affixed inside the door.
CONDITION
Good and fully functional; tested and working with both keys and combination included. The exterior shows scratches, a dent, scuffing, and general signs of use, with a scratched "A" mark to the top surface and light surface rust at one interior corner and the floor seam. Interior molding shows scattered staining consistent with age and use.
